Default Powder coating on muffler heat shields......

anybody had much luck with that? I am hoping that what I am gonna try and pull off works.

they make ceramic powders so heat wont be a problem..so far everything ive coated has been fine ..what system and powder you using..?
i was going to do the head pipe heat shield but decided i needed some chrome..post up a pic when your done should look wicked.?

Had my heat shields done in "gloss" black. Holding up w/no problems...

My Vance and Hines BR upper heat shields are PC wrinkle black and have had zero problems.

I powder coated mine...
First time i started it they discolored a bit...not bad..just darkened it a few spots a bit...
I think my issue was with the gloss brass color I went with...If your going Black...I don't think you'll have an issue...

I used a can of BBQ paint on mine. and is holding up really well. going on 2 years and havent touched up yet

man i coated 3 sets of of mufflers and shields last night... works great if propper prep is done and you do it right

Default Exhaust Powdercoat

I had a set of chrome V&H Bigshots done at Performance Kote in Orlando. I had them done in flat black. They look great and are so easy to keep clean. I couldn't recommend it more.

Did you use some sort of primer? Or scuff and shoot?

I had my shields and slip-ons PC'd in slightly different finishes and so far all is ok....
