What is Satin Chrome?
#12
Wabbit: I just bought a new '11 Fat Boy Lo and really like it. The "satin chrome" is a nice finish. A quality powder-coater should be able to match it up.
My bike's also silver pearl; replaced the upper and lower forks with Harley's black OEM items. Black powder coat to handlebar (replaced stock bar with one from a standard Fat Boy), oil cap, brake lever, gear shift linkage arms, layback license plate, 4" pullback risers, etc.. Black SE slip-ons (with the satin chrome heat shields) and a visor-style headlamp trim ring powder-coated to match the satin chrome. Also treated myself to H-D's black LED headlamp (pricey, but way cool).
Just had the ridiculously tall black detachable windshield shaved down almost 6" so I can look over it rather than through it. $30. well spent.
Ask at the dealership; someone might have a line on a good powder coater.
Good Luck,
mcd
