Lol
I have always liked aviation, especially WW2 fighter planes. Having been in the military myself, I am interested in the stories and history behind what many of this countries finest men contributed. I'll admit, initially I was drawn in by the cool shark face paint scheme. However, the story behind the AVG is an awesome one. If you don't already know it, I would recommend reading about it. Daniel Ford has a book out called "Flying Tigers" more of a historical record. Also R.T. Smith (who was an AVG Ace) has a great book called "Tale of a Tiger". An additional tidbit, I'm not sure if you know but Flying Tiger Airlines was started by two former Flying Tigers as well. Thanks for your service Medina

Alright not finished yet, but here is a sneak peek of the oil tank and rear fender.
Still some bullet holes and shading to do on fender. As for the tail number and flight leader stripe they still need to to be finished in satin. Tank to follow

Alright, so here is the progress thus far. Rear fender and oil tank are done and gas tank is about 80% complete. Still need to add rivets and bullet holes to gas tank. As well as fine detail on pin-up, make photo appear if it is ripping through tank. and some shading. I'll post pics when it is all back together in a week or so.
