Default full bike repaint - powder coating???

I visited one shop today with some nice bikes. The guy showed me nice custom project where the tins were powder coated flat black instead of classic flat paint.

I am now in process of repainting my bike to flat black and wondering if is better standard repaint done by car paintshop or powder coating. I had no idea that powder coating is also used for gas tank, fenders, etc.

While visiting powder coating company today with my wheels and bars, i asked them if they do also gas tanks, etc. They said yes.

What is your experience? what is better solution in terms of lifetime, maintenance?

Would that be more brittle on the tins than paint, when they flex?

Is there anyone with powder coated tins? I still dont know which solution is better. I suppose powder coating is cheaper than classic paint

thanks, will check that. And what would you say in comparison with classic paint? Any issues while cleaning, etc?

Looks great, same question, any difference compare standard paint?

When i see the pictures i am realy thinking to go for powder coating. The paint looks to me even more flat than classic car paint. I mean i realy want to make sure its the right way, beacause i am going to put some slight airbrush details over and if i would screw up the paint, all that airbrush work is wasted.......
