Klock Werks Fender / Experience??
I purchased a new, unpainted Klock Werks fender. Was very impressed with things I saw especially regarding the "E-coat" process that is supposed to inhibit rust etc.
So when I received my new Klock Werks fender, was really surprised at the poor quality of the finish as it seems they played spin-the-fender with mine.
Not really what I expected from Klock Werks but that leads me to this question.
Since I am going to have it painted, should I be concerned?
I am not a body / paint guy so I am unsure if this is a problem. Some of the scratches are more than superficial.

I wouldn’t have given a flying F about that. As said, it’s going to be sanded, primed, sanded sprayed and clear coated. Never in a million years would those scratches make the slightest difference. However if you felt the need for a perfect item to be later sanded and painted, that’s completely your choice. All that lost is time, a little wasted fuel for shipping and the senders money.

to add, i met Brian Klock many times and we just exchanged cell numbers at Daytona a few weeks ago. He is the ultimate gentleman and will speak to you personally if you call his shop. that said, your complaints of scratches means absolutely nothing. once you send it to paint, those scratches are eliminated. do your homework before you post things like this. the products Klock Werks sells is vastly superior to most of what is out there and it is all made in USA. Kuryakyn and many other parts are Chinese made and plastic. sounds like you should be buying your parts on Amazon...
