Default fork seal replacement

I'm going to be powdercoating my fork lowers black an to do that I need to break down the forks do I need to replace the fork seals even though there is nothing wrong with them? Thanks Joe

I've done a about a dozen sets without replacing the seals and had no issues. (of course they do have to be removed completely for disassembly) However I've also done 4 or 5 without replacing and one or the other seemed to leak a little. Just be careful driving the seal back in. They are not hard to swap if you don't replace and they seep out fluid. You should know within the 1st ride or so.

I would remove the old ones, prior to coating, then fit new replacements. They will hardly break the bank!
