1958 FL Panhead Duo Glide

Thanks for the feedback! Definitely appreciated. So here's where he sits now with this beauty, based upon all your info so far.
The NADA says an excellent 58 FL goes for $21,900, a very good one for $14,900. He's thinking $19,900, I'm thinking $17,500. Yeah???
Obviously its NOT all original, and I'm just about positive the odometer is incorrect. Sorry if I represented it as being actual miles. With that said, I think it is still one heck of a 58 FL, its just that he doesn't want to price it too high OR too low. Of course he's had one guy offer $12,000, but I would seriously consider buying it for that. Oh wait, I don't have the money either. Haha.
Thanks again. I'll let you know what he sells it for.

I haven't looked at this threat in a while. bike looks great. I would be inclined to sit on the bike for another year or two, only because the current economy will limit the number of potential buyers. I realize people that could afford this type of machine aren't likely to be feeling pinched at this time...however, buyers that are sitting closer to the margin are likely to hesitate until their securities are secure again. $15G is a good price and reflects the economy, but, I think you could get more under a stronger economy.

Yeah, he is getting back down in the ball park. As others have said, a lot of stuff on that bike is not original equipment including the chrome pans, chrome coil, chrome, chrome, chrome. There was a pristine '58 in Miami with original paint that was for sale for $18k and sat for a long time - the last I saw he had dropped his price to $14k. The market is just not there for the old stuff now with the economy what it is.

If the price was lower I'd be seriously lookin as I'm only 2 hours away. Here's one I was watching on flea-bay to see where it ended up. Again, not all original, but nice just the same.
