Default Spark Plugs

My 57 has been running pretty damn good until this weekend when she started fartin' and spittin' at higher rpm's. I pulled the plugs and found the front cylinder looked perfect, dry and a nice tan color. Rear cylinder, however, looked to be oil fouled, wet and black. Top end was rebuilt not long ago, so I'm thinking it probably isn't rings, hopefully. Right now I'm running champion RJ12YC plugs in both cylinders with a SS E carb. I'm thinking of putting a hotter plug in the rear. Any suggestions? Any help sure is appreciated.

Go down to your local auto store and buy a set of Bosch platinum plugs # 4236 They are the best for oil fouling

Thanks for the info. Just went down and got them. By the way, the new # is 4036. Hopefully this will do it. Gonna run it this afternoon. Thanks again.

Well, I ran her this afternoon... Ran pretty good but now I'm noticing white smoke. Checked plugs and rear is wet with oil again. Even the end of the exhaust pipe is wet. Front cylinder looks good. I guess compression test is next. I need to get my mechanic to do that. Startin' to **** me off! Oh well, life with a pan, but wouldn't trade it for the world! CH-CHING$

Took her apart this week and no way plugs are gonna fix it! Even though top end was just rebuilt, seems like the hack didn't install the wrist pin keeper clip properly. It let loose which allowed the pin to slide and gouged the hell out of my cylinder @#%^#*&! Since it has been bored 40 over already I've decided to go with two new jugs. While I'm at it I'm getting both heads rebuilt too. ch freaking ching!!! Still love my pan! Good thing I still got my 22 year old heritage to ride. Well I'm outta here.
