I think some later year pans and shovels (66 thru 69 ) want that advanced timing line in the center I do my 52 and my 46 knuck as I described What ever position you'll pretty much right on

im waiting on a new throttle cable. i also ran into another thing i cant seem to figure out. its got a s&s b carb and i dont know what direction i need to rotate the idle to adjust it. i think its up way to high.

junior go to www.sscycles.com Click on 'technical' ,then 'instructions'. Then scroll down to S&S b Carb. You can view view it on line or download it.

B carb is pretty simple, just a modern day version of the old Linkert carb

ok guys awesome news. i was screwing with the bike today and checked the gas tank it smelled like bad gas so i drained it and put good gas in. then i cleaned up the carb a bit more and one of the air inlets was blocked, i put the carb back on and turned the key on and kicked her over with out primeing or chokeing it started up on the first try. woohoo, rideing it tomorrow then giving it back to the owner weather permitting.

looking even better for next week in the triple digits. no fun jumping up and down trying to get a kicker started.
