I have been looking to replace my '56 with a new project bike I want an electric start pan, and so far the prices, even for junk are too high. This does not sound like a bad deal, but not a screaming deal either.

If you look on ebay you can get a sense of what the upper end of each type of bike is going for. I saw a rat project pan go for 6 large not long ago that made me scratch my head, but I have also seen some nice stockers go for under 20 that looked to be a good deal. ( I can't believe I am talking about $20g being a good price for a 55 year old bike! )

 

All good comments, glad nobody jumped on me for wanting to wait a little while, the guy emailed and said ''let's make a deal''. To be honest, i'd go 10.250, and that's if it starts cold within about 4 hops. And runs good afterward. That would be tops, might try 9750.00, but, i don't want to insult him either. I know its not a new bike, but, the way he's talking its a nice machine, guess it's up to me.
