Resurrecting the 65.

Got the heads back with new seats.. There are a few issues I'm not too happy about but I plan on using them.. One of them was that he resurfaced the heads without welding the fin on.. He did give me the fin off of a shovel.. I would have prefered he didn't surface the heads unless he put the fin on.
But the engine's coming along nicely. Can't wait to hear it run.

Since I had to weld the fin back on I grabbed a cylinder I used for the flow bend, busted a fin off and and tried to weld it back on.. Needless to say it turned into a fiasco.. I've got a HTP 201 inverter welder that I've had for a number of years. I could do low current but as soon as I brought the current up **** went everywhere.. Blow holes in the fins everything cover the tungsten with aluminum. Turn shut black.. Talked to WFO Larry and he told me I had a leak in my hose, try harbor freight for a new hose.. Well the local HF had 17 torch kits with 12.5 foot hoses, $99. # miles from my house.. That fixed the issue..
Anyway got the fin back on.. I should have tried to fit the fin on the one side a little bit better but it cams out OK. This fin is behind the coil so you really won't see much of it..
