Default My new 54 Panhead chopper

Wanted one for a long time and not the easiest thing to find up here at the north pole. Saw this 54 pop up in local ad and my eyes popped out of their sockets. Titled as a 54 Harley too so I was all over it.

Here's the scoop. My biggest concerns were the title, the engine and if the frame was OEM. Its a straight leg frame which some quick reading has said 54 was the change over year from the wishbone, not sure how true that is. All forgings have been blended into the frame with filler but the seat post has ancient bushings for a pogo, the lower seat post forging looks oem but seeing a number on an assembled bike might be impossible, One axle clip looks like it has numbers under the thick paint so I may dig there. The rest of the forgings other than the front engine mount forget it. Im not digging and ruining the work done in those areas.

You can see how close it was to the sidewalk sitting on a trailer and all it had on it was a cover that covered it from the handlebars back.

Thanks! Need to go through the palmer book to see what I ended up with frame-wise. Straight legs and a juice brake.

This spare seat came with it, I'll put it on for now but I'll end up with a different king and queen seat.

Make a few personal changes like the seat, license plate light setup, maybe bars and make it road worthy.

Aw man, that brings some way back memories to the surface. Frames HD from the looks of the underside but it's been worked over obviously, be hard to determine the year on it.

Still,, dude
