Paul, what did you do for the steel disc in the clutch hub. Going thru the ones for my niece's chopped 50, the look pretty worn. Not grooved or warped, just worn out

Alto makes the replacements that are lighter - no springs and ***** - BUT you care move the spring and ***** as they tend to stick in place and make neutral an issue if the hub studs are not smooth and have ditches - but once you remove them its no longer an issue

I had Alto steel plates in my '66 shovel when i first got it. When I opened up the primary the springs and ***** were all on the bottom of the inner primary. Needless to say, the plates were replaced with originals along with the five stud clutch hub. To me factory parts are the best.

I need to hand paint the emblems and get them on but I've done a few other things this past week. The dash is on, the mud flap I had made locally is on, all electrical works and I went over the hardware tightening and checking everything. The oil feed line from the tank leaks at the tank, minor but annoying. The fuel shutoff doesn't completely seal so I need to replace that but I would like to avoid the viton tipped rod, I had the end come off my 62 so I swore I would never use one of them again. I took the rosettes off the seat and swapped the orange ones for red ones, the orange and yellow clashed with the blue bike. (ignore the fender on the chopper its just spending some time sitting there).

Did you try the shut off valve from Carl Olsen? I have one on my Flathead for about 5 years, does NOT leak, ever. I had the fuel line disconnected since September with at one gallon of gas in the tank, stayed there leak free until installation last month. His stuff works.
