I'll be the odd man out here. Did I read right you may sell your RC30? What's the story on that and how did you find it?! I'm very interested in that bike but I believe the asking price may put me out of the house and into an apartment if I ask for forgiveness instead of permission this time. You just don't see those often.

This is the casting code Eric was referring to on the kicker cover. The code on the top is "L 8" (December 1948). There were two covers, this and one that looked to be closer to the correct date. Unfortunately it was pretty trashed, so I opted for the later one.

Thanks for the pics and info. I see there's a 48 case on ebay but it has welds repairs. Ill keep my eyes out though.

Tested out the tanks and everything lines up nicely. Im not happy with the frame paint. I get that they weren't perfect from the factory but they should've prepped it better and taken more care so Ill hand sand it down and hand it from a tree or something outside and paint it with a paint gun and automotive paint from the body shop.

Thanks Ill check them out today but the pogo bushing looked new or very nice. All the grease in the cross shaft hole I couldn't see anything.
