I put a ram jet in. I assume the concept is to control end play on the clutch drum based on the lip it has on it?

Mission accomplished on the primary today.

Looks like a pretty big flywheel sprocket to be putting on that bike

From riding by niece's 50 Pan with the belt, the only thing I had noticed is that the belt assembly seems to be a bit noisy when at idle. Did you stay with the original transmission adjustment (single screw) assembly or add the dual screw (aftermarket) assembly? I found that the dual screw assembly allows for a more accurate belt adjustment and keeps the alignment tru so the belt doesn't creep.

I'm really curious to see how you like that Ram-jett unit. Thinking that will be one of the upgrades on the niece's 50

That said your bike is really progressing very nicely.

Im looking for lots of top end

The single adjuster is definitely a negative. I didn't know you could get an upgrade, I'll see how this works and may add it later. When I was setting the tension I had to use a prybar to square it up so the edge of the belt wasn't contacting the inside edge of the basket, Im hoping it doesn't creep with the mounts done up.

Do you have a link to the dual adjuster?

A bit more this evening, happy to see that on the frame like its a milestone somehow.

Happy to see the witness mark from the stand rubbing on the board mount forever.

Pedal rubbers are repop but the rest is real.

The correct lifter blocks are aluminum which I have and they are in the background. I want to run cast iron ones but even that seems like a roll of the dice.

My eyes popped out of their sockets when I saw that crack, can't imagine the turmoil that would cause without warning. So I decided cast iron was best.

Sized them and blasted them then saw that. Can't win so now I'm having a friend check his stash this weekend for a good one. Pretty sure the cast iron chunk falling into the cam chest would we worse (not by much) than the aluminum one.

Good catch!

Crazy thing is, they may have been there for 50 years or more but we don't know. And, putting them back into service is a lot like a rain storm, you may get back home in one, but would you LEAVE home during one?

What bike are you using this on and does the forward cross bar go between the trans and mount plate or pulls on the studs that protrude below the plate? I really like the concept but the description says for custom application.

Now that I think about it, it can't pull on the studs below the plate because of the longitudinal brace.

I was going to go with black rims but decided to go with chrome (Sorry Architect). I had one set of chrome oem rims with a perfect finish and I cant resist. One is dated 49 and the other was pitted in the date code area, it cant be read but Im CERTAIN is dated 48
