Exactly. A guy a restored a 308 for picked it up last week. Took three years to complete every nut and bolt on it. The front lower spoiler lasted one day before he clipped it on something.

Actually that applies to a lot of cars. Just google Lamborghini fails, pour a glass of wine and enjoy.

The intake nipple threaded in by hand most of the way then the tool easily bottomed it out on the o-ring.

Total gap is .150" so .075" per side when centered. I could back the nipples out to close that gap a bit but then the step on the nipple wont be seated so its a trade-off.

I'll have peek seals Tuesday.

Everything is so time consuming on these things. Had lofty goals of seeing the engine in the frame this weekend but it'll be later this week instead.

Oil pump block off plate courtesy of Panz, thanks again! Pump is on, cam end play checked but dont have a shim to get it where I want it. I need flag connectors for the harness but having no luck up here at the North pole getting any. Rocker arms that came with the bike are beyond junk along with other spares I had kicking around - my bad for not being prepared in advance on those. Need to revisit what the cam cover finish should be and address that. Need other smalls as well and need to decide on what to put inside the primary, a chain or a belt.

And to make me feel better I rewarded myself by putting a tank on to have a look.

1 = chain and the mess

2 = belt and way cleaner not marking its spot every time you move it

Why are the rocker arms junk?
