the oil pump has the original rotator - a factory bulletin says to remove it with the blank cover that was made available at that time
But I have followed if it still has it 70 years later and it still works I re use it - I do not know the reason they were looking to eliminate it but I have the paper work tells you to replace it
with out the reason

How'd you make out on gas tanks and badges?
Aluminum lifter blocks?
What's the date code on the rims?
Nice score. That is gonna be a peach of a ride!
...oh and in one of your threads you mentioned that if a new ride came along, one of the existing would go. So..........which one is it gonna be?

Aluminum blocks with correct lifters and pushrods with the tappets up a the rocker arms. I may replace the pushrods so its solid based on what John says. The blocks have never been polished either. I have rockers for it that have both the replaceable cups and the later ones that had the oilers. I think Im going to run the later ones.
Pitting on the rims inside has made any identifying stamps a thing of the past. Definitely not repop though, also has the correct hubs with nice bearing races.
Not sure which one but it comes down to the Honda or the 66. I need a daily bike so the TWINKIE stays.
