Default Belt drive problem

Just bought a 58 swingarm. Has a STD (I think ) 4 spd with a starter and belt drive. This is the first belt drive for me so I am alittle in the dark. Belt is loose enough to turn straight up and down. There is still adjustment in the trans plate but back of the trans is hitting the frame. From what I read the belts don't stretch .

It is a 1 1/2" 99T 11mm and they make a 96T 11mm, but they say its for 28/29 T pulley and I have a 31T. So, do I try it or take the trans out and grind on the case ? Any help would be appreciated.

i would start with buying the correct adjustment bolt - to me it does not look like the correct one and if its not the right one your adjustment will be off --

Yeah. That bolt setup does not look correct. As a matter of fact it looks nothing like any tranny set up on a pan head i have seen. Although. Pictures can be deceiving. I can't even tell what I am looking at.

Don't know what is different, will take a look at my buddy's bike. But the trans can't go back any more because it s hitting the frame now. Guess I'll take it apart and grind that ear out some

From what I am seeing the aftermarket trans case is hitting the swingarm...harley cases don't have that support, so yes you are going to have to grind on it to use that trans case.
