Default Sport touring / Club bike socal variant

Well....

In san diego and it's a ton of club dynas and performance baggers. So after owning a few of each I decided to take the styling and performance cues from the canyon carving rippers out here and try it on a Pan america

So far bike has:

Fxr division top tree
One off bars to accept 7/8th controls, bars are 16"
Ohlins front and rear that raises bike 2 inch or so
Saddleman seat
New battery
Dealer flash to get rid of gremlins
Power vision tuner
Fuel moto tune
Two brothers racing exhaust
Gold chain
Rough craft passenger pegs
Arlen ness cush mid controls pegs
Harley adjustable shift lever arm
Harley adventure kick stand, has bigger foot area
Ebay cheap backrest
Smoked short harley windscreen
Michelin tires, no knobbies
Barnett clutch
+2 barnett clutch cable

Next steps:

Pazoma metal tour pack rack and retrofit an fxr clamshell pack with backrest set up
Power vision holder for putting tuner up on bars like a tachometachometer on a performance build
Brackets to retro fit leather pros saddlebags
Leather version of leather pros fxr style bags
17" rims front and rear
Dymag rims
120 front 200 rear super sticky tires
Catless headers and retune.
lots of carbon fiber parts

Bike absolutely rips. Makes 170hp crank, 150 whp. Went 165 on the dyno with stock gearing and revs about 500 rpm higher from tune.

Suspension is killer even at 145mph bike feels surgical.

Basically a modern sport touring build. Once new saddlebags it will esthetically look better. These sport bags are to wide, silver and huge. Bags should be tight for lane splitting out here but expandable when need be.

Mocking up an XL1200cx front fender. Gonna get a trimmed up version, but I don't mind the esthetic so I'll keep this over the stock fender for sure

Gonna chop up the stock rear fender as well so it looks more sporty than the dirt bike style chain guard look the rear fender is styled like now

I always thought sport touring was an interesting genre, like the RT. The they consider it full touring, or concours.

The custom vrods with full hard bags and sharknose were cool.

I'm planning a completely different style build for my Pan Am, but equally as extensive.

I'm curious about the Ohlins. What did you experience from this upgrade vs. stock?
