Yea, I watched that video a while ago. I also watched a video today from a 'round the world biker' that claims he doesn't lube his chain and it still lasts for 30,000 KM. Harley recommends cleaning, lubing, and adjusting the chain every 500 miles. I presently use BelRay but applying it and wiping the excess off is a mess. It does not seem to fling off though.
Shawn Smoak is a tech at a BMW dealer in Washington State and he has commented in his daily vlog on YT over the years that Honda makes the best chain lube available "bar none." He even recommends it for chain driven BMW's...

I won't say you wont get some fling but I like Motul Chain Paste. It's important to use a blue garage disposable paper towel to lightly wipe it to an even coat after applying to all four sides of the chain. I have about 13000 miles on buy chain and with kerosene as a cleaner very happy with the chain condition. Lots of moisture and on trips the bike is parked outside. Try to clean and lube every 600 miles. sometimes I think I extend the mileage a bit.
I've used Motorex but I come back to Motul. Plus easy to travel with.

Don't know if it is the best; however, I use Belray chain lube on my Yamaha FJ-09 and Suzuki V-Strom. Does not fling and is pretty clean.

I buy wd40 by the gallon to clean the chain and I protect the chain with either k&n air filter oil or my latest go to is Lucas Red “N” Tacky spray grease. Both stick well after setting up for a few hours, 19000 miles on the original chain and it still looks good and has not stretched terribly.
