Default Quick Shifter misnamed?

So I bought the quick shifter, installed it, and had my bike flashed. The first thing I discovered is that it shifts quickly when I don’t try shift quickly. If I don’t think about it and just shift it’s much smoother. Is there such a thing as an “unlearning” curve?

All the quick shifter (all quick shifters) does/do is trigger the throttle to dip on up shift and blip on down shift allowing you to not require the clutch. It doesn't change the interaction of clutch and shift linkage. Normal shifting should not have changed (really it can't change as the unit just replaced your shift linkage) but now when you are winding it up and accelerating hard you can just shift without letting off the throttle or using the clutch. Your shift lever may be a bit lower or higher resulting in a different feel though.
