hotter had grips

My level 2 is the coldest, and I think Level 1 and 3 are the same. I plan to enlarge the wind protection to have warmer hands. Also: non-insulated Leather gloves are heating up the hand really to the limit, but this is I guess not a solution ;-)
Manufacturer call: What about gloves with no insulation on the inner hand to make heated grips working better?

I have a set of the wrap type that go under your stock grips on my ultra and will get so hot on high that I have had to switch hands to allow them to cool down and that's with leather gloves on these suckers will get HOT if you want them to!! I have a set on my ATV I use with a plow for snow removal and if I remember correctly they were not all that expensive either!!

Hi Mallard,
(Q: wrap type or wrap tape?)
that sound interesting! So you are basically insulating the metal bar from the heating grip? I think that would make sense to increase the heat going out of the grip rather than inside. Do you have please a link, or a search term on google to learn more about this?
Thanks!

The Empire and Wild Ones heated grips both list that they get 20 degrees hotter than the stock grips in the online description. The Tactical grips do not list any details about how much hotter they get compared to stock in the online description. I was interested in grips that get a little hotter (or at least are more consistent with the heat) but also larger diameter grips. I was having trouble getting information from H-D as to the size of the stock grips, and had read conflicting information about the true size of the after market H-D grips. So I decided to order all 3 of them to measure for myself using digital calipers! And the measurements did not match what H-D lists online for their after-market grips, so I'll list them here in case you are interested.
The stock grips are 1.231" diameter
Wild Ones grips are 1.432" diameter
Empire grips are 1.450" diameter
Tactical grips are 1.301" diameter (listed as 1.66" diameter online!!)
I haven't installed them yet because they just arrived, but am going to keep the Wild Ones based on size and style and return the others. I'm hopeful they do get warmer as advertised, but can't comment on that yet.
