Default Sprocket ratios

Has anyone changed up their sprocket ratios? I can easily cruise in the 80-85mph range, at which the bike is around 5,000 rpms. This seems way high for this motor. The sprockets are stock at 19/48. If I change the rear to 42, what was 5,000 rpms would be 4375. Not sure how this would affect 1st gear takeoff. Also not sure if better to change out the front sprocket. Changing front to a 21 (keeping rear stock at 48) would give an rpm of 4523 at what was 5,000.
I've included

two photos of the front sprocket - interesting to note the rubber guard looks to be worn away, so perhaps a bigger front sprocket may be beneficial. Just not sure if the larger size would give fit problems elsewhere.
Does Harley or aftermarket even produce sprockets for the Pan Am?

5K RPM is nothing for this motor - it redlines at 9K I don't really even like to ride mine much below 4K RPM as the power all lives at the top end.

Thanks. I agree it likes to spin, but for long rides at 80+ mph, I would like to shave 500 rpms. I can certainly pull just fine, or a quick downshift if necessary. Was just curious if anyone had found sprockets that fit. I've had this bike up to 125 and probably wouldn't want to go much faster. Just want more relaxing beat at 80-85.

I have a Sportster S and am looking to do the same thing for the same reasons. any idea if hypothetically the mechanical parts were available to do it if there is anything to adjust the instrumentation so the speedo/range/odometer would be correct?

You have to consider the torque available at the lower RPMs you are seeking. The engineers specked the ratios to match the engines optimal operating range to avoid lugging the motor at normal cruising speeds.
The higher RPMs are one of few things about the PAS I'm still not comfortable with. I really like the V twins RPM and sound at cruise speed.
