Lightbulb My question is, what color Pan America should I get?

My favorite color is black, that's the color of my Street Glide and my Gladiator. I rarely take the Gladiator off-road, maybe the occasional fire road. I really want a black Pan America but I wonder is it a bad idea to ride a black shiny bike off-road? I plan to take it on the trails here in east Tennessee. What are your thoughts, should I find a color that hides scratches more, what color would that be?

It's the morning after completing the Harley-Davidson Pan America offroad training at Zakar's offroad training facility. We are set to take the Pan America for a 150-mile adventure into the mountainous and sandy terrain of the Mojave desert. It's going to be an epic ride with spectacular views. Watch the Traveling Tall YouTube video in the video section.

I think you decision will be based on what is available. And that may well be nothing.

It depends on how much off road riding your going to do. I have the green because I didn't want to worry about cleaning it up all the time.

Ever notice you don't see scratches on Caterpillars? That's because the dust on this planet looks "yellowish."

Quit thinkin of the PA as a rolling showpiece. It's gonna get dirty/muddy. Just ride the SOB.

I knew I was not getting Black, and figured I would grow tired of orange and white in short time. So it was down to Deadwood Green or Gauntlet Gray. After much debate I ordered it in Gray last May.
