It's a whole lot easier than in days gone by when you had to take the tank off !
Each time the tank is off to service the air filter, you will have to remove and rerun that wire.

I did the same as the OP, but once I replaced my AC with the SE AC I then ran the wires under the tank.

And that's when you ask the HD shop if they can run the wire under the tank since the tank's off. There is method to my madness.

What was the best way that you found to route the wiring from under the seat to the front of the bike? (i.e. GPS mounted on handlebars, etc.)
- Did you run the wires on the left side or the right side of the bike?
- Did you have to remove the tank?

I have the coax to SAE adapters, I'm just looking for ideas on the best way to route the wiring from under the seat to the front of the bike.

Thanks!
We (cousin/mechanic) ran a coax cable from the battery, up the frame below the tank, and terminating at a bulkhead fitting at the former plugin location for the wired headset.

Unfortunately, this will not work on the PA as the tank design is totally different.

old thread I know... just tried to install my GPS and I don't seem to have any power from my heated gear connectors. I hooked up a USB connector to the port and still no power. Is there a switch to turn these on?

What type of GPS are you trying to run for a USB port?
