I took the Wedge fairing off. Went back to original with a V Stream windshield. Then I took the bike off road, 150' of dirt parking lot.

Default Kellermanns rear lights with turn, light and brake installed

In Germany many BMW GS have the Harley style 2 rear light style, plus a 3rd brake light. I went further and have 3 rear lights and 3 brake lights.

I wanted to get rid of the white huge staring turn indicators, although the HD logo inside is a styling highlight.

I was focusing to get the illuminated rings aligned to the line of the original tail light. So I could not rise the number plate higher, just a bit.

That’s all about this post.

Finally received the Denali taillights... Harley definitely didn't engineer this bike for easy access to the rear wiring harness...lol
got them installed and tested last night. Will reassemble tonight.

I like the license plate brake lights, would you have a part number for them?
Thanks

Son bought a 2022 PAS two weeks ago, and today his order of Helibars brand bar risers came in.

Took five minutes before the first issue came up, which stopped us in our tracks.

The large wire loom which goes to the right grip cluster; it looks as tho it should be routed UNDER the bars. On his bike, it comes up from below (as one would expect), but then goes over the bars just to the right of the bar mounts, crosses in front of the bend in the bars, and then enters the switch housing. This is eating up ALL of the slack that would have been in the wires had they been installed "normally"

Has anybody taken the cluster housing off the end of the bars? This is the only way I can think of to re-route the wires.

I thought it was pretty easy, just pop off the rear caddy and voila, access to the rear wiring loom.

That said, I already had the scaffolding for the metal side cases on the bike, so that had to come off as well.

I just wired the T3s (?) in for brake and run using the ezCAN. But I will go back in there and splice into the turn signal wiring as well at a later date so I have run/brake/turn.

Unhappy Trop c'est trop, to much is to much...

Well….uhmmm….after 9 months and 16.000 km’s I sold it, at a considerable loss, as the second hand market seems to be swamped with them.
Mine is a 2021 PAS and I have had all the problems in the book:
- 2 recalls
- rear shock replaced due to erratic ARH behaviour (which did not solve the problem)
- stalling while riding
- starting problems and the “squealing pig sound”
- heat shield broken off
- radiator hose melted onto the pipes losing all coolant (HD knows about this and the solution is simple and low cost!)
- TFT losing all speed, t°, gear etc….indications and more blinking lights and fault codes than I can remember
- I could go on about the wobbly screen, the clock-, nav- & app sync or the font (even with uodate) or the excessive heat on the legs in hot conditions but these are minor to me and possibly subjective.
At the 16.000 km service I almost begged my dealer to replace the BCM by the new BCM module (part# + A) hoping that this would solve a lot off the problems but taking off at the dealer, squealing pig sound, first roundabout it stalled and there was no way to restart it.
I had to push it shamefully to the side and wait for a few minutes, as I’ve done many times before, after that I rode off as if nothing happened.
My mind went dark, decision taken!

I’m not a HD basher, I’m holding on to my 9th Roadking, and my wife to her 4th & 5th Sportster XL1200T 5 (HD you really should built a follow up!) but the love with the PanAm is over.
HD is on to a good thing, the bike is nimble, fast, and very comfy but sub zero on reliability. Well mine is anyways. I might be back in future though, as the model has evolved, but for now it’s going to be anonymous German build tank quality with a torque crazy boxer engine that wont stop.
Never thought I’d live the day😊.

I do hope all you guys, and girls, stay out off these troubles and can enjoy your bikes.
Keep it safe,

we have a different definition of easy I guess.. mounting plate for the top case, mounts for the side bags, passenger grip assembly, and then the rear base. At that point you can remove the Caddy…..
