We were lucky enough to have the class just after the national trainers had spent a week training-the-trainers. So there was almost a one-to-one ratio of instructors to students if needed. Lot's of experience was available. The nice thing to hear is that more HD dealers are getting certified to offer this training, so I highly recommend you ask your dealer if they are looking into it. The expressed interest may just push them forward if they are hesitating.

Left the house at 29 degrees and 6:30 am to go take the ADV class at SMHD. Met TN Squirrel and others at SMHD. I learned a whole lot, had a great time. I was shocked at how worn out I was at the end of the day. Very good class, good instructors and good students. All your time on the bike is spent standing. Learn a lot about moving your weight around, sliding the rear tire, and also power sliding it so TC is off for the class as is ABS.
This was the 4th ADV Class for MSF, and this class was the one done so it can be added to the Harley Riding academy.
I highly recommend taking the class. Like a beginner class it gives you lots to practice which will be very useful off road. I believe all the students enjoyed the class, and we all learned.
