Last pic for a while, I know everyone is tired of seeing it (except me!). I installed a taller W/S but not before blacking out the bottom of it.

Are u saying the black painted L plate ( few inches below the actual damper ) with the two bolts is rusting ?

Guildford Harley Davidson. Might be a bit far for you if you are up near Norwich though?

No. It's the actual steering damper itself - see the pic below.

It's annoying as the damper is made by Ohlins - and they should make better quality stuff than that!

They are part of the same company though (LIND), so that is helpful, thank you 😁👍

Have you seen that Sykes H-D is Sussex are having a Pan America day this Saturday?

Oh wow.
I appreciate the picture and the heads-up.
After reading this I sprayed some Harley Aerosol Lube on these components hoping it protects the metal.

I have - and I may head down there. But, Guildford HD also have their Birthday bash with bands, hog roast, stalls and stuff. If I am clever and get up early, I may fit both in.

ADM, that's what my steering damper looks like. Are you getting that fixed under warranty?

Mine is the same, been meaning to brush it and spray it again with metal protector. I hope its just surface rust. Some capless threads on the handlebar are rusted to **** as well
