Had the 1K service done today. A bit chilly 70 mile ride to the dealer this morning, 19F when I left the house. Any future maintenance/service will be done by me. Had the dealer do the first service to get all of the service bulletins done and not have any future warranty issues. Had several parts that finally came in installed as well.
Skid plate, radiator guard, exhaust guard, and top case mount installed. The auxiliary lights showed up, but no harness/install kit yet. The soft panniers also showed up, but no side case mounts yet. None of the hard cases have shown up yet either. Still waiting for the headlight guard. Installed a set of Ilium Works highway pegs last night. Thinking of ordering a set of Flo Motorsports foot pegs.

Last night I was on duty as an emergency blood courier in central London. I didn't want my aluminium cases on the bike as it makes it so wide that you miss some opportunities to slice through London's slow traffic (we can filter here). I couldn't use my tail bag as I need to strap big boxes of frozen/refrigerated blood products where it normally goes. But I still wanted to carry some tools, first aid kit etc...
So I pulled out a MOLLE pouch that I had in the garage and strapped it on the side case frame. It worked great. So much so that I have ordered another one for the other side just so I can have some small luggage capacity for blood nights.

Took her on some Forest roads in Cherokee National forest, first stop was Bald River Falls, then the road is unpaved for the next 15 miles until I get on Cherohala Skyway two miles into NC.Bike did very well, some rough rocky sections, a couple of good up hills, with moderate switchbacks.
