Default Ruh-roh, 1st check engine light... 422 miles

I was jacking with the modes this past weekend with the bike off, showing my brother in law the bike then adjusting bars and seeing if I could see the screen etc... ran the battery down, wouldn't start. Had an anemic attempt at starting, like it wanted to but just hung over and no energy. Thought it was strange that it would run down with just a few on/off's but meh, put it on the trickle overnight and back to green.

I've been in the cage all week, dropping off parts at FedEx so today was the 1st day to get back on the bike. Started no problem but I noticed after I got on the highway I had a check engine light. I figured I'd do the diagnostic when i got to the office. Forgot and turned off the bike, remembered so turned the bike back on and went to start it, same anemic noise. Damnit, tried again and it fired up. I figured I'd take it over to the dealer while it was running. I'll go drive over after they open and see if it started for them, their probably wondering how I got it into the parking lot while all the gates were locked lol

Fingers crossed it's something simple, supposed to go on my trip next Thursday... that would REALLY suck if I had to cancel while waiting on parts.

I'll post up when I get back.

I've noticed a "weak" start since day one. It's never failed to start on the second attempt though. Curious to see what you find out.

It's a known issue, was explained as "normal occurrence" when low voltage, Tech called the Mothership.

He said all the codes were Historic Codes, will have an "H" prefix/suffix, I guess when I ran the battery out it popped them up again. Leave it to me to find the faults...

Tech is out riding it now, sounds like it's all good though so I'll go pick it up this evening and take the long way home

I will be looking at a battery upgrade though I think

I think there's something draining the battery. Mine's been parked since Sunday night, battery's so low this morning it won't start. 10 minutes on the tender should do it.

Teething pains, I suppose.

I believe there is a dealer flash available to fix this issue as well as enable charging on the USB-C port. Or it might be two separate BCM flashes.

Or maybe the battery draining fix isn't released yet, but just confirmed as in the works. Well worth talking to the dealer.

They flashed mine, just got done talking to the Tech while picking up the bike. I had to come back to work to finish out my day, headed for a ride after work and I'll see if there's anything I notice.

BTW, charging worked on my phone BEFORE I took it in today so not sure if the dealer I bought it from flashed it for that.

Sounds like the one at the dealer I went to look at, it wouldn't start.

Looks like there's a problem across the line. Mine's in for the 1k, and they had issues starting it.
