I am thinking it is either a bug in the software in the infotainment system, or something with the current version of the HD app. Have tested with a iPhone and Android phone and it does it with both.
ya, the HD Nav is junk. IF it connects it may or may not dump. We can only hope they switch to Android Auto/Carplay like they did with the touring bikes.
it's literally my only complaint about this bike.

I just emailed Jim Palmer about an ESP. Very good rates, curious to see how they compare with Harley's numbers tomorrow morning.

I put this large rack together to hold the HD luggage or a couple of dry bags. I actually used a TourPak top rack with a base that bolts to the HD rack. If I decide to run a topcase later, this comes off in a minute or two. The rack is positioned off the centerline of the bike, but centered between the bags so the lids will open without issue.

My wife put a pic of this rack on Facebook. I don't do facebook. Some guy said not to put any weight on this "set up" Well, I can tell ya, having done this on other bikes, it's very firm and can take weight. Besides, these racks are usually mounted on a plastic tourpak. This is 3 points mounted to metal.

The rack does extend beyond the rear fender where a tour pak it's closer to over the rear tire. With the usual load of 10-20 pounds in the style luggage shown probably not a handling or safety issue. Good design and ingenuity.

Should work fine for touring... I wouldn't count on it if you plan on any serious rough terrain.

👍

it's literally my only complaint about this bike.

I have had the same issues, although I had the same dropping issues with my Ducati MTS Enduro too. I think anytime everything connects to the bike and then it displays, plays, or does soemthing, it is subject to some type of buffering delay? But what do I know.
I am a little surprised Harley didn't use the USB 3 socket on the side of the dash to allow for plug/play android auto/ carplay, google maps, spotify, etc? I checked that plug, it is powered while riding, but doesn't seem to be high powered at all. It is a USB 3 out to device, so in my case, USB 3 to USB 3. It's probably enough to keep your phone charging, but maybe not charged depending on if you are running nav, radio, etc? Will do more testing as I put more miles on the bike.
I am really hoping there is an aftermarket exhaust in my future soon, screamin eagle or otherwise. The motor sounds to me like there is a grumble there, I think it will really sound good once it is allowed to breath and exhale a bit.

H-D has a SE muffler for the PA. Don't know how it sounds but it does look a lot better.

First time I felt some heat off the motor was today after extended slow riding. Not bad, but noticeable.

Yeah, was riding today at 91 degrees out and got into some traffic and it was a little toasty, but I can't think of a single bike I've owned of any brand that wouldn't also be toasty. esp. the Twin-Cam or Milwaukee 8. The Engine temp never got over 220 though... I'd call it normal motorcycle heat.

On a plus note today... I got my BCM flashed with the update, so I'm charging now off the TFT. It seems to play well with my Quad Lock wireless charger.

I use a Sena 50S headset and an iPhone 11 Pro... I took a phone call for the first time today and the person I was talking to said it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel. So I wonder if the Sena's noise cancellation doesn't work with the PA. Normally if I've just paired the Sena directly to the phone, the person on the other end is usually surprised to discover I'm riding and say they can hear me very clearly. Next ride, I'll not pair with the bike and take a couple of calls with a buddy and compare the two and see what's what.
