Default PA rear brake

Those of you that have a Pan America, are you surprised at how much force you have to apply to the rear brake pedal? My brake seems to work fine but I have to mash it pretty hard. I might just need to adjust it's height a little higher and it feel better. The front brake is fantastic...

Curious as to what other bikes are like.

Ha! I literally thought my back brake was out when I left the dealer. I've gotten used to it now!

Mine was that way until the pads got good and seated. Now it seems fine. Also, don't forget, the front brake lever links both front and rear in most riding modes so that's why it feels so powerful.

Quick update... my rear brake feels great now after a few hundred miles. No worries.

Mine actually got worse. A blue line down the center of the rotor. Dealer claims ive been riding the rear brake. Not a chance. It is just sub par. Abs used to kick in on a semi aggressive stop. No longer does unless I really mash that pedal. I will be upgrading to busted knuckles 11.8 inch rotor and duel piston caliper.

Mine is the cvo, you simply pull on the tip, 90°parallel to shaft, pull out and rotate 180°

Yours may or may not have that iption depending on the year.

Good luck
