"There are still a lot of unanswered questions surrounding the Pan America, including price, but most expect it to start out at a tad over $20k."
That's the same money or more than BMW wants for their tried and proven GS 1250. H-D, with a recent history of sales flops, seems might sure of themselves going into a new market segment.

Where they have BMW beat is dealer presence and support.

The only unanswered question about that is why the designers still have a job.

That thing is fell out of the fugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

HD may be missing the mark on ADV sales too as buyers are trending towards smaller, less expensive and more off road worthy mid size ADV bikes instead of $20k behemoths.

I didn't think it was ugly for an adventure bike, with the exception of the front lights.

Now that's a serious motorcycle. HD as usual the last 30 years is going to step on their collective dicks again.

With so much love for Ducati and disdain for HD, why are you here? I don't see any Italian wonders in you signature line.

You get a pass on this one, been building and riding harleys since the 70's, I have a 17 M8 Road King and my shovel would probably embarrass you if I took a mind to play that hard again. I'm a long time motorcycle mechanic, distain yes there's some as I don't care for the moco's current attitude toward its customers and it's direction with the curry motor in the coming mid size line up while I can appreciate real thought and engineering behind a very rideable machine like Duc puts out, bet the price point is very close for more motorcycle too.

Rode harleys 40 years before I ever set foot in a dealer to buy a new one, I got over all the oh and ah a few hundred thousand miles ago.
