Default Joshua Tree Ride - Mar 24, 2007

I'm trying to organize a ride in Joshua Tree this Saturday, March 24. This is supposedly the best time to ride through there, since this is the time when all the native flora springs back to life. Temps are supposed to be in the low 70s.

The route will most likely go up Hwy 74 through Hemet and down into Palm Desert. Then take Box Canyon Rd to Joshua Tree NP. Then we'll head into Yucca Valley and stop over at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown.

Staging is at the Yellow Basket in Menifee, at 9:00am for breakfast, and kickstand up by 10:00am.

Here's a maplink for Yellow Basket...

Yellow Basket
29966 Haun Rd # 1
Sun City, CA 92586
(951) 301-8322

It'll cost $5.00 per person to get into Joshua Tree NP.

My cell phone is (949) 233-5559 if you wanna call me.

I guess I'll wave if I see you. I have hooked up with a group going from Moreno Valley to Laughlin on Saturday morning and then on to Furnace Creek on Sunday.
My partner and I have to meet them in Moreno Valley from there we go to 29 Palms (Hutchins Harley) then up through Amboy over to Laughlin.

Damn! I'm hosting an all day martial arts seminar at my dojo in Yucca Valley then going to Pappy and Harriet's for dinner. I met you folks up there a month or two ago but you'll probably be gone by the time we get there. See ya next time.

We're going the scenic route. We're taking highway 74 to Palm Desert, and then side streets to Box Canyon Rd, which will take us into Joshua Tree National Park. We'll ride through the park, and then come out into Yucca Valley, and into Pioneertown. We'll take the 62 to the I-10 on the way back.

Bubba,
Read your post a little late Friday night.
I am meeting with Mightywarlock in the Morning around 7:30 am, then going to meet up
with a friend of his in Pasadena.

Not sure of the route.

Call me on my cell, in the Morning between 7 and 8 (leave a message) and when
we get to Pasadena, I'll check for your message.

If you call after 8, not sure I'll know about your message, but you could try.

Hope I hear from you
