I used to live right there...I was in Vista at the 78 and Melrose. Used to go to Palomar for some bouldering. Of course, this doesn't help you find riders, but have a good time anyway.

 

How was your ride?

 

The ride was friggin hot!!!! Everyone bailed except on friend, we had fun though since
there were not a lot of riders on the road.

Really looking forward to this Friday goin up to Paso Robles for the Mid Street Bike Festival for 4 days.

Should be a great ride, going to Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, and some wineries too.

 

That should be fun... I really wanted to make that, but I have a radio control Helicopter event that I have prior commitment to.....and I'm the one responsible for the band, etc. Only happens once a year, and it draws a pretty big crowd. Too bad they are on the same weekend. I'm hopefully going riding on Sunday and Monday, though. But, Paso Robles is a bit too far for a day run and I'm not set up yet for an overniter.........

Road Chick, glad you had a good time. Sometimes the ride up palomar can be a pain with all the rice rockets flying aroound up there. I heard they were cracking down and that it was working. I would've gone with you but I had a poker run from Chula Vista up to the hideout that I had prepaid. It was friggin hot there to. Almost too hot for a cold beer at the end of the ride, but not quite. Look out for the wineries up there. Real easy to have to many free samples.

 

I live in Escondido, my custom was not on the rode during the ride, but it is now so keep me posted on rides. BTW if you were ever pissed off at a Yellow F4I crotch rocket screaming up and down Palomar, it was not me honest
