There is also not much on H93 either though on H93 north of Kingman is another mining town called Chloride. I haven't been there in a while though there is a small "ghost" town in Chloride itself. Last winter, someone else took over a bar/restaurant there on the main street across from the post office. The owners were pretty biker friendly.
FYI, depending on the time of day and day itself, traffic can be backed up on H93 between Hoover Dam and Boulder City because of all the boaters.

2) Want to make a run up to Hoover Dam ----- should I take 93 or 95? Is there
a more scenic route? Go up one and return on the other?
I would make an early morning trip to Oatman before it gets crowded. Then head out the back on old Rt 66 to Kingman. Check out the different venues there then on to Hoover Dam on the 93. the 93 is a bit better than the 95 not by much.
Also if your coming up the 40 on Thursday, Lake Havasu is having a BIG STREET PARTY to start the Desert Storm Boat Poker run. Its a PARTY!

That one anyway. Over all, there has been a lot more police presence. Probably, since there have been a lot of traffic fatalities lately. Just the other day, another "bus stop" jumped off the curb and took out another cage driver. At least nobody was killed this time.
