Default Any Alaska riders around?

Anyone from up Alaska way? I'm looking to meet some riders I can learn a thing or two from. I have very little riding experience and as the guy on TV says "It's tougher in Alaska."

Quite a few Harley riders here in Alaska, but not many on these forums it seems. This time of year about all we can do is dream about riding, and maybe some modifications. Usually able to get a ride or two in around April, and then take advantage of may and june. 90% of my riding this year was from may to june then it seemed to rain everyday I wanted to ride. Hit me up around April or may and we can do some riding, as long as you don't mind my wife tagging along on her spyder.

I'm taking the MSF course in April and taking delivery of my bike in May. We got a lot of rain last summer. I'm hoping this one is better weather wise.

I'll be up there in October 2013 once I'm finished with this S. Korea tour!

Can't WAIT!

It was 42 degrees yesterday and at least my street was dry enough to ride the bike down to the mailbox and back. First time I have rode a motorcycle in December in Alaska!

Well just a few miles so far in 2013, love the snow to ride snowmachines but I think I am ready for my bike. Looks like about 3 inches of snow today, probably 3-8 inches for the next few days . I guess the bike can stay garaged for a bit!

With the snow that Anchorage is getting, I'm worried that my MSF class might be delayed.

Just got back from Upper Kenai fishing trip. My next trip to Alaska (save up money first)
will be a bike touring trip. During. May, June or July.
Spectacular scenery. It's like Colorado on heavy duty steroids and growth hormone. Saw lots of bikes riding on Fri, Sat and Sun. Sure made me miss mine.
Any info on future touring would be nice. Thanks in advance.
Great trip, met great folks and you've got a great state.

Got out for 2 hours today. I know it is just the beginning of August but there was the feel of autumn in the air. Felt good but a little disappointed.
