Default Bike Rental

I have a friend coming out to Long Beach area to do some work. He will be here 2.5 months starting 1st of Sept. He is think about renting a bike for weekend rides. Who is good and who should he stay away from. He owns a 2011 Ultra Limited.
I plan on riding over from Phoenix on a few weekends to do some rides.
I'd like to take him to. Big Bear, Brick House, Ortega Hwy. What else for short day rides.

http://www.losangelesharleyrentals.com/ has a good selection and promotions.

They are about a 20 minute ride inland from Long Beach on the 10 fwy a few exits east of the 605. Very easy to find.

I have personally had good experience renting from Route 66 Riders in Marina Del Rey and Extreme Dream Riders in Costa Mesa.

If you're going to do Ortega, and especially since your friend will be coming from the west, you should take in the whole experience... Cook's Corner > Live Oak Cyn > Ortega Hwy to Hells Kitchen, continuing through the descent into Lake Elsinore and on into Hemet via the 74, and then 243 north to Banning. In fact, if you're up for that trip, give me a call or pm since you will almost go by my house going to Cook's. If that's too long, you could always call it a day at Elsinore and jump on I-15.
