Great 165 Mile Loop From Ojai
I did an awesome loop on Sunday while everyone else was at the Love Ride. Starting at the Deer Lodge for BBQ tri-tip and a local rock band, I took Hwy 33 all the way up to 166, then east to Cerro Noroeste Rd which turns into Mil Potrero Rd as it winds through Pine Mountain, on to Cuddy Valley Road, then Lockwood Valley Road back to the 33 and back to Ojai.
Hwy 33 is in great shape all the way, Lockwood Valley Rd. has only about 50 yds of unpaved road and a creek that runs over the road (both easily negotiated). Stunning scenery. Wildlife -- buffalo, deer, etc. And you have the road to yourself most of the time.
