Took 11 bikes from Camp Pendleton to El Centro. Road out on 94 through Barrett Junction. Had lunch at Barrett Junction Cafe. It had a nice old-time country feel with a neat 90 year history. Stayed on 80 through Jacumba (quick stop at the Jacumba Hot Springs for some coffee and crazy conversation with the restaurant help) and then into El Centro. On the way out (next day early AM). Road the I-8 out to Ocotillo then took Hwy S2 across the desert toward Aqua Caliente into Julian (stopped for some breakfast Apple pie). The S2 is a great road. Didn't see another vehicle for 45 miles.
