That's a little ambitions Jaron. With a 9am start from Puyallup it's about 4 hours 45 minutes to Yakima (1:45pm). That's with no gas or lunch breaks. Add 1 hour for a brat and beer in Leavenworth, and another 30 minutes for two gas stops along the way. I'd say the earliest we can promise to meet in Yakima would be 3:30ish.

This is all based on the driving times contained in the Google map that I inserted in my earlier post. If there is a lot of eye candy in the canyon, it could conceivably be past sunset before we reach Yakima.

 

For those who attended last year and tented it, are there showers/toilets on site? You say we won't need reservations for tents?

Looking to arrive Friday afternoon or evening.

 

There is a state park right next door with toilets and pay showers. There is also bathroom facilities on site. You are correct, you do not need reservations for a tent site. Glad you're coming!

So if we Yakimaniacs look for you Wetsiders at 4:00 PM on Friday we can roll in together? That would still leave plenty of daylight to get set up.

Steve, we could set a time to meet in Yakima, or you can meet us up in Ellensburg and ride the canyon with us. We could use the extra eyes looking out for flashing river boobies!
Once we set a meeting spot I should be able to make a better guess on our arrival time.

We also need to hear from anyone that wants to meet in Monroe along the route. We should be rolling through there between 10:45 and 11am.

 

I have all day Friday and can meet where ever. Hell, maybe I'll setup camp early then roll on into Yakavegas to meet the lot of you.

 

Lonn, you working Friday or closing up shop? I'm game to leave anytime Friday.
