my BIL can't make it on the 13th either. and not a great date for me.

sounds like a beautiful ride. So much awesome terrain in SoCal. Even has overpopulated as the city centers are, the rural areas are still absolutely amazing, and you can completely forget you're in SoCal Hell!

You'll love it down here. Plenty of places to ride. Not like the OC. "hey man, let's go to Cook's" What else is there to do?

 

That's a good route you have planned. A little bit of everything. I think you will really enjoy it.

 

HAHAHAH go to cooks and hang out with the tourists. It's a damn pretty ride through there, though.

You forgot Hell's Kitchen and the Overlook on Ortega Hwy.

 

Yup.. that's our usual route. Cooks, then HK, then maybe back down to SJC area and home.

Been wanting to head up into the Idllywild area for sometime now. That's why I want to do this trip.

Been watching the weather on almost an hourly basis. Probably make the final decession to go or not on Friday night. My BIL and I are ready to break out the rain gear and go if it's not constent showers.
I'll wait to see how hard some of the area's get hit. Don't want to get into any mud crossing on the twisties.

Possibly hit the R3 down from Hemet?

Are those in OC, or Riverside. I'm pretty sure Overlook is Riverside. Not sure about HK.
