So what is the best way to get there from the Eastside? Just head up 405 to the 5 to the WA-20?

I'm riding on on I-90, then as you stated - 405, to 5, to WA-20.

A friend of mine is crossing over Stevens Pass on Highway 2, but think I'd rather stick with the slab...depends on the weather...

Weather was great!
Oysters were great.
Music was great!
Biggest O.R. I have seen....

And my dear wife wants to go again next year.
Superb!

Now home to relax and sip a toast.

It was a good run and I got my oysters. For a one day event it was impressive. Lots of people but the traffic moved and I didn't see any bummers. I and a friend took Stevens Pass. It was a cool start with the temperature in the high 30,s and low 40's. We were able to warm up at the rest area with coffee and a chat with fellow travelers.
Even though the lineup at the Mukilteo ferry was long the ferry loaded quickly and having the bikes load first made for a grand exit into Clinton and a fun run up to Anacortes.

Biggest Oyster Run I have ever seen .Our Oyster Run was a three day event Friday afternoon we rode up to Anacortes and stayed on my folks boat in the marina thats crawling distance from downtown .Saturday we took the ferry up to San Juan Island and rode around the island we had some oysters we also saw some Orca whales and some beautiful natural wonder. The San Juan Islands are truely one of jewels of the Northwest. Sunday we rode out to Conway to hook up with some freinds and ride back to Anacortes and then home.It was great weather and good times.
