Default Vegas Bike Fest - October

Anyone thinking about going to Bike Week in Vegas at the beginning of October? I'm not sure yet but might go for two or three days. Anyone here been there for this before (I was in Vegas for a car show at that time last year; saw a lot of bikes but don't know much else about whether it's worth the trip).

I've gone the last 2 years. It can be a lot of fun. This year they moved the main hotel to the Sahara on the strip, I liked it when it was at the nugget, closer to the show, walking to more bars like Hogs and Heifers.

I think I'll be going. I went last year as well. Good fun and inexpensive lodging and food make it more affordable as well.

We might be there.
Have some friends from Wyoming who will be there. But it's my wife's B-Day weekend and I'm letting her decide what she wants to do.

Besides Hoover dam, what would be a nice day ride in the area?

I rode ou to the Dam to check the progress of the bypass. Red Rock Canyon and Mt Springs Saloon loop is nice. Mt Charleston or Valley of Fire are a little futher. Or for a day ride out to Oatman,AZ.

Thanks

I've go out to Laughlin all the time. So know Oatman well enough.

Red Rock Canyon sounds good. Found it on a map, would that be hwy 159 ?
I'll check out some 'road trip' sites to find more info. Thanks again.

Would mentioning all the shopping Vegas has to offer bring your wife? One of the poker runs may take you up to Mt Charleston, but I like the road between Lee Canyon and I guess the actual Mt.
