Thanks
in the past, with the old route (see the 2008 map) i would say we got started around 8-830, and finished somewhere between 4:30 and 6.
I expect this year to take slightly longer due to about 55 miles of extra twisties added to the route.

Well now!
I just got back from a Pre-Ride of the new route for the twistys.
Looks like I have some changes to make.
Will post on the website the changes soon.

Great ride today! We had a blast. If you haven't been on this ride before, you got to do this. If you have been before, then do it again.

I made some changes to the route, and it got shortened from 395 miles to 375.

lunch is no longer at the Deer Lodge, but now in Santa Paula at a mexican restaurant called Familia Diaz and should take place around 1pm.

the 1st leg of the tour from Glendale to the Rock Store, will take about 2.5 hours!

Lockwood valley rd is back in the picture, as the road i chose to replace it with turned out to be a dirt road, so that was a bad choice.

complete directions and garmin route for your gps and map and info can be found at the website... www.tourofthetwisties.com

I'll keep it updated as we get closer.

thanks and for those who go...prepare to get yourself completely twisted around!

Sounds like it would be a great ride. If I wasn't 2 states away, I'd be there.

Rich, Sally and I were just looking over the new route. Looks like a lot of fun. About the only road that Sally hasnt ridden herself is Lockwood, but thats only cause she was on the back of mine at the time.
Both of us are looking forward to it.

Missed you today at the picnic. Hope everythings ok

oh please P.M. me and let me know how the meeting went, and if anyone said anything about the ride. I had asked FRED to do so...and gave some flyers to Cardo...

also, I am currently in Hawaii. Got here yesterday. So I guess you can understand why I was not able to attend the meeting, nor the picnic.

went hiking UP Diamondhead today, then had lunch and hiked some more...up to Monoa Falls. Needless to say, I am quite pooped.

Hope you guys had a nice time at the picnic.

Regarding the ride,...It is going to be quite the journey this time around. even though it doesn't look much different than years past...
IT IS!

see ya'all soon.
