***Thundering Herd-Irwindale to Camarillo Pics and Update***
Sunday April 30, 2006.
The herd met at a McDonalds in Irwindale, CA and headed north to Camarillo and Ventura.
3 of our regulars were absent. Ultrascoot (Bruce) had already been on a 2 day motorsickle related binge and needed to stay home and take of business while Matt and Jay were soaking up the sun at the Laughlin Run.
Steve (aka Bubba) showed up as well as Rob (Carmell RKC) and his lovely wife Angela. We were joined for the first time by Jim#2 (aka Motoxlrg) who actually road the 90+ miles down from Lancaster just to hook up with us at our starting point.
Got on the road about 9:40 and hit very little traffic in the 75 miles up to Camarillo. The day started out foggy then got sunny then back to foggy then back to sunny depending on where we were.
The first stop was Ventura H-D. Nice little shop with some very friendly people. Grabbed a coffee and talked to a guy who had his Street Glide beefed up to a whopping 120 inches and also added a 6 speed tranny. He just had it modified and it was still in the break-in period but we were all sure that puppy would fly.
Our second stop before heading back home was Ventura Harbor for lunch.
Grabbed some fish tacos among other things at a little place called "Surf N' Taco". The food was ok but the conversation was much better.
It was the first time we had the pleasure of meeting Rob's wife Angela and she was a delight. She is a great lady and Rob is lucky to have her. (How many of you guys got a Harley for your birthday from your wife? Rob did!) Anyway she was great with a wonderful sense of humor and we look forward to having her ride shotgun with us again.
Then there was Jim# 2 (motoxlrg). He showed up at McDonalds being a pretty quiet guy. Little did we know what a conversationalist he was and that all it would take to get him to open up was 3 simple words: Off Road Racing".
Jim# 2 had some great stories on bikes & Baja and we enjoyed his company and invite him to join us again on future rides.
After lunch we headed back south and waved off Jim#2 as he broke off on the 2 headed for the high desert.
The rest of us said our goodbyes at a fuel stop in Glendale and got back to our starting point at about 3pm and peeled off the 210 one by one.
Thanks Angela and the guys for another great ride.

Hey guys, I assume you all got my email? As I said, I won’t be making this Sunday.
After riding Friday and Saturday both I will be taking a break and doing a few things around the house.
You all have fun and ride safe; see you on the next one.
Bruce
P.S. couple pic’s from today.

Thanks for the great re-cap of yesterdays ride and pics Jim. All my wife could do was tell me how much she enjoyed the day on the bike and how well she like you all. She cant wait untill her next one now, especially since she knows the herd actually consists of a bunch of teddy bears ( I tried convincing her we were some outlaw biker gang, but she never really seemed too sold on that one ).

Thanks again for having me along, I had a great time. It was nice to get the bike out on some open road. It spends too much time in traffic. Enjoyed everyones company. Great people and a good ride. Can't wait to do it again.
