Actually in SF or in the bay area?

I have heard lots of good stuff about the Oakland HOG, but Bob Dron sucks.
I just heard a bad comment on the SF dealer on this site. Perkins I think the name is.
I don't know much about my local HOG, I went to one meeting, had to work late and missed the next so far. They seem like a good bunch, but I haven't done anything with them yet.

I have been pretty happy with McGuires in Walnut Creek/Pittsburg/San Ramon.

well then, more important is a good garage to lock the bike in.
Seems everyone I know that lives in SF has had their bikes stolen at least once when parked in residential areas overnight.

There are a lot of dealers in the area to choose from and several people online here from SF area. The dealer i mentioned is about 25 minutes outside of SF.

Ther's lots of dealers in the area.

People in S.F. don't see you unless your riding in a large group.Lot of good places to ride though.

Why do you want to move into the city? depending on where your job will be you should look at moving outside of the city and comute to work. you would enjoy that much better as long as your commute is not too long. riding in the middle of S.F. solo is pretty crazy.

Perkins is down near Market/Mission and not bad. The guys seem alright there. I almost moved into the City, but ended up about 15 minutes north in Larkspur, but I commute into the City for work. You definitely want a garage for your bike in the City.
