Any Oregon HOG member out there? I am doing the 2008 Oregon State HOG Rally ride and havemotel rooms to share in Pendleton and Mt. Hood. If anyone is interested send me a PM. I live on the Oregon coast and am always looking for someone to ride with.

When is the OR HOG rally?

 

July 10-12/08....starts in Pendleton on the 10th, ride to Mt. Hood the 11th and ends in Seaside on the 12th.

 

Not doing the rally but trailering up from CA onJuly 17th and riding with my son from 21st-24th. He just bought his first Harley at 22 and is living on the Oregon Coast.(Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue Swimmer... I know... shameless... just proud pappy I guess).

There was an article in the Jan/ Feb 08 Hog Tales mag about a ride that went from Portalnd to Astoria, down the coastinto the California Redwoods, up to Grants Pass to Crater lake, Sisters, Mt. Hood and back to Portland. Sounded like a nice scenic ride and will be the first time we have riden together.

I'm open foralternativeroute suggestions and "must see's" from seasoned Oregonians. Also wondering what typical weather / tempsto expect on this route. Be nice tomeet up withsome forum members along the way.

 

As far as weather......expect it all but July should be pretty nice. It stays cool on the coast. 101 isa nice ride, stop and see the light houses on the way and enjoy the ride.
