Yeah, we went that way last year. We topped off at 29 Palms but still stopped at that station, it was a zoo and they were charging alot and it took forever it was so crowded and hot. I think it was off the 40 near rt66 about 30 miles west of Needles. If you are coming out the 40 and you top off at Barstow you've got about 140 miles to Needles. Or top off at Newbery Springs or at Cruoero Rd to avoid that rip-off crowded station and make it to Needles. 140 miles should be doable for most.

 

There isa gas station in Ludlow of the 40 about 100 from needles if you coming from barstow (headin east) it gets packed, but they know a lot of bikers go there, so they stock up on water and other drinks. we are staying @ the tropicana express (formally ramada) 2 other bikesare meeting me here in temple city so we can jump on the 210e-15n-40e. leaving early thurs. im sure ill see a lot of you all on the road. i usually stop in barstow, ludlow and needles. so i dont get there to tired. lets hame some fun and be safe out there.

6:05am leaving 405/118 fwys.
118 east- 210 east-15 north to Victorville H-D picking up a rider there, then going to Bobs Big Boy(Lenwood exit?) for breakfast.

Last year I tried to meet up wtih HDF members in Kingman @ that BBq spot, I guess I went by to early because nobody was there.
Has anybody decided where to meet up this year? If not for a ride at least for a beer/drink/soda/water.


The HD dealer in Kingman had a pretty big bash last year.
I know about a party in Bullhead Cityon Sat. at a house.

I'll be taking the typical 15 to 40 to Needles then Laughlin...

Just got back myself. Anubisss, Mr.Moto and I found a beautiful roadside park in the middle of the Mojave
dessert and fell asleep on a park bench. We lost about an hour (which is why were back kind of late), but what
the heck, waking up from a nap in the middle of the dessert is priceless!!!! Will have photo's tomorrow, hope
everyone got back safe. Johnny

 

Does anybody know what happened to the guy that went off the road just before Ludlow? All I saw was thebarbed wire mangled.
