This weekend is looking real nice for a ride. Temps should be in the mid to high 50's without a cloud in the sky.

And since I have never been to Goodsprings, this seems like a good time as any to go up and have a beer with a cigar or two. If you would like to join up, I'd enjoy meeting some HDF members.

I'm thinking about meeting at the Roadrunner on Flamingo and I-215 for Breakfast at about 9am, we will then head on out afterwards.

Make sure that you ride all the way out Las Vegas Blvd. to get there. Road is smother and ya don't have to worry bout those idiot drivers coming over the boarder running over ya.

 

Looks like an interesting place, ashamed to say I have lived in Vegas for a number of years and have never been out to the place much less heard of it.

 

Same here, I moved to Las Vegas in 1983 and until recently (after I bought my motorcycle) have I started to discover all the history and interesting places in the area. This is one of the latest areas that I have heard about that I wanted to visit. A friend of mine sent me this link which really sparked the interest to go out and see it for myself.

well hell, You missed it when it was its old self, just last year I think it was, they refurbished the place, did one hell of a job on it. before they fixed her up, it was truly an ancient bar. I miss the way it was before to be honest.

 

Several years ago I paid for a chunk of wood with my name on it for the boardwalk...then they ripped it up and used it for firewood about a year later!

Still a good place to enjoy a cold one and a cigar. I was in there one weekend and Michael Masden came in. Probably around the time of filming of Kill Bill. He stopped at the bar for a cold beer after changing clothes in one of the nastiest bathrooms around...so I stepped up to the piano and played "Stuck in the Middle with You" (Resevoir Dogs...remember....he did!) and got a pretty good reaction from him!
